STOP Light Activity Cards
The activity cards, designed to look like STOP lights, cover various areas of early learning, including literacy, beginning math concepts, beginning writing, and social and emotional development. The red light describes the foundation or concept that the activity card is intended to teach. The yellow light lists the supplies needed for the activity. The green light gives directions to complete the activity. Turn the card over for many extended activities for parents and children to do together to promote school readiness.
STOP Light Activity Cards are available at a Families First booth at all community fairs, libraries, WIC, and are available to parents through many day care centers and preschools. Collect all of them for many ideas to help children enter kindergarten prepared to succeed.
